Which of these email services is best for
you?
POP3 (Post Office Protocol Version 3) to Receive Email on
One Computer -
If you only use one computer for all of your work and to receive email, then a POP3
email account with spam protection is more than sufficient for your needs. This also
holds true if you have a small office with multiple computers where email interaction
and sharing is not a priority or necessity for your business to run smoothly.

IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) to Receive Email
on Multiple Computers -
If you operate from multiple locations and often need to manage and receive email
with more than one computer, such as a desktop in your office, laptop at home, and a
PDA when you travel, then you are ready to upgrade to one of the IMAP email services.
This is also the new preferred service for businesses that need to send the same

SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) to Send Email from
Any Computer -
If you need to send large files, or need to send email from your laptop wherever you
are, or just want a more reliable outbound email service than your local ISP can
