A Host Header is used to administer multiple domains with a single IP address. It is a
third piece of information that you can use in addition to the IP address and port number
to uniquely identify a Web domain.
It provides the capability for you to operate independent websites, each with their own
home page on the same IP Address and ABI Hosting account.
To accomplish this, you will need to have two or more registered domain names. Each
domain name must have a unique subdirectory on your hosting account in which the documents
for the selected website resides.
When a user visits one of your domains, they are automatically taken to the unique
directory and the selected website displays.
Alternatively, you can have multiple domain names and have them point to the same web
site.
